An inauspicious inauguration, but here it starts. I'm scoping out Avignon for the next month before traveling there with my lovely wife and some friends. Here is des Halles a Avignon, which seems to be like a French Whole Foods. Its exterior is festooned with vegetation, done by Patrick Blanc.

According to news at des Halles a Avignon, the city is celebrating its 700th anniversary of the Popes' arrival by reproducing an assortment of medieval recipes. September's recipe is Pressed rabbit with Muscat.

Negril Jamaica Vacation
Just got back from a trip to Jamaica from the 20 to the 25 of January. It was good getting away from the snowy NE and the Rockhouse Hotel was the bizzomb. Here's a cliff jump, one of many good times there.
